We are so grateful to our friends and supporters for their generosity. Through your donations we have been able to deliver our well women and girls initiatives, to hand out period and maternity packs. Our target was 150 packs, and we are delighted to have raised enough to help 84 women and girls, each pack will be distributed through the clinics we support. This means 84 women and girls will be spared the worry of managing their periods each month, the packs are designed to last up to 3 years with proper care, we will provide guidance on how to maintain the pads. The maternity packs will also include a beautifully hand-knitted baby blanket crafted by talented volunteer knitters in the UK. In addition to these cozy blankets we’re also adding essential pain relief medication and packs of soaps ensuring a more comfortable and hygienic experience for new mothers, and young women who receive the packs.
