Bakindik Health Post

Bakindik-donation-deliveryLast year we were told about a clinic in Bakindik Nuimi north bank division, a vital resource for the local area and many villages in the area. Originally built by another charity based in the UK FOTGA and furnished by them then handed over to the local Village Development Committee (VDC). While the clinic provides a valuable space for healthcare and is adequately furnished, they regularly face shortages of essential medical supplies which hinders its ability to fully serve the community. Recognizing this need, we reviewed what clinical supplies we had in the country and on route to the country, and agreed to send what we could to support their efforts in supporting the local population. We arranged for donations to be transported by land and ferry over to the clinic and delivered safely, by dedicated volunteers in The Gambia. . These supplies will significantly enhance the quality of healthcare and treatment available to the local communities in Bakindik Nuimi, making a tangible difference in the lives of those who rely on the clinic for their well-being.

Testimonal

“The donation made to bakindik health post from Generation Gambia will fill a significant gap for all gender and age in various ways, it will enhance the nurses to serve the people in need, people around that area strive for basic welfares including proper medical care. Thus the items donated will be put to good use.
The smiles on their faces showed how pleasing it was to receive such items, if more of this can be rendered to them it will be beneficial to the people in the local area.
Appreciation and regards are sent to the donors, Gambian volunteers and moreover to Binta Saidy from Generation Gambia, who works tirelessly to help those in need.
We appreciate all their efforts.”
